Adrian Nye is a solo singer/songwriter based in Colorado, known for his creative fingerpicking and smokey vocals. This MIT grad was a founding member of Boston new-wave band Lizards in a Circle that played numerous clubs in the 90s. In his day job he wrote books that sold over a million copies, and later with 3 others built and flew an innovative aircraft under a NASA grant. Fed up with the rat race he ditched it all to whitewater kayak, lived 6 years in a van paddling in all 50 states and overseas. All the while his guitar was a constant companion. His voice has been compared to Nick Drake, Cat Stevens, and his laid back style is reminiscent of Mark Knopfler and JJ Cale.
